Procrastination is good at times.. technically.

Procrastination is an evil... they say. We delay tasks which needs to be done now, thinking "aahh.. will do later, i am having lots of time", where from one aspect this habit can cause serious implications but again this habit can be a boon too... how? Read on...

Most of us use Skype for daily communications mostly in office scenario and my organization is no different. But of late, theres these mass virus on skype pretending to be sent from your skype contact with text like:
Your Funny pic.. Hohoho
check out... bitly.com/12345
And once you click this malware, it silently installs nasty programs like keyloggers which records your keystrokes etc.

During the initial days of the virus even I received alerts like this but I procrastinated thinking that "aahhh... interesting pic, will check later, anyway it will be in my chat history", but eventually forgot to check the link and voila!! I was not affected by the virus!! Yeah!

So  dear all... Technically procrastination is good.. :P
but this doesnot include the emails... you still need to respond to emails and urgent chats on time...

To all who are affected by this virus... CHANGE your skype password first... then search google for a solution., (sorry even I am not having a solution right now, but will provide as soon I come across one...)

Guys, another thing.. we have viruses related to almost everything Microsoft... Windows OS, Win Mobile OS and now Skype??? weird..

Have a great weekend! Happy skype'ing.

New Vehicle in mind? Get your proofs right, first!

Every person's dream... A beautiful house, smiley relations, speedy vehicle/s [and lot of money... ohh! did i miss it :)]. Jokes apart, Its been a couple of months and my wish of purchasing a vehicle is still "Under Construction".
Reason? The government's undying thirst of valid proofs of my identity. And astonishingly every showroom has its own set of unique documents apart from the general ones.

So far for purchasing a two wheeler an outstation resident needs the following:
  • Registered and Notarized Rent Agreement (one with tenant's pics and thumb impression)
  • Police Verification Form (submitted at the time of renting)
  • Electricity Bill (with Owner's name)
  • Government Affidavit for Vehicle passing.
  • PAN Card
  • Driving License
  • Passport (if you have, its good)
  • Employment confirmation from the organization I work for.
  • Voter ID.
  • 5-6 month's statement of the salary account... huhh..
Apart from Registered Rent Agreement and Police Verification Form, rest I have arranged.
Reason for the missing above, My Owner Has Lost The Papers... woww, and now seems like he is reluctant to shell out 3000 bucks getting the registered agreement. I am left with just a photocopy of Agreement papers (Non notarized and registered).
Whatever, I will be posting a review of my vehicle, that too sooon...
So, whats the status in your city on the same? Hows the situation in the city (apart from your native) where you have bought a vehicle?

One quick question though, have I (or hundreds like me) wished something wrong?
May be I should just thank Mr. Ajmal Kasab for all these...

Finnair Surprise for India's Republic Day - January 26, 2012

January 26th every year witnesses patriotism, tranquility and zeal among Indians as this is the day when way back in 1930 the constitution of India came into force.

The 26th of January was chosen to honour the declaration of independence of 1930. It is one of the three national holidays in India. While the main parade takes place in the national capital, New Delhi, at the Rajpath before the president, the anniversary is also celebrated with varying degrees of formality in state capitals and other centres.

It was really a surprise for Finnair flyers when they experienced the crew to dance to a Indian tune in full Indian attire. [Video below]

Ahh! Superb...

The day says it all...
Lets Celebrate Responsibly, Lets say No to Toxic colors and Yes to nature and skin loving colors. Wishing everyone a very happy Holi.

Satyam email fraud in circulation...

Hi All, first of all a simple question! How does it feel when a CEO (in this case Ex-CEO) emails you for financial help or asks for your bank account to transfer money?? Feeling blessed!! Sounds similar??

Well this post is actually related to such "money transfer" emails with a twist! This has the name of Ramalinga Raju and her wife asking for your bank account! The "money transfer" trick finally percolated to the Indian scenario. WOW.

The email says:

Namaskar,
My name is Radha  Ramalinga,I am the wife of B. Suryanarayana Raju Ramalinga, the younger brother of Byrraju Ramalinga Raju, former chairman, founder and owner of Satyam Computers.

I do have a proposal for you, which would be of immense financial benefits to you and I.

My husband and his brother are currently in big trouble in India,I need your assistance to help me move some funds from Holland to India  or anywhere where it would at least be of some help to our family.

I would give you more details of this proposal if you show yourself willing to take on it,I assure you that you would most certainly be compensated but please I would kindly request you to keep this matter confidential.

I am currently here in the UK where it is a bit safe for me and my kids.
You can reach me on my personal email id which is apdream1@gmail.com

Yours sincerely,
R.Ramalinga
Namaskar, Yours sincerely etc etc are well included to pretend as if it came with a honest intention but the user forgot to take care of the email ID. Poor fellow!
